The World Ends With You - character design

I, just like many others, ALMOST missed one of square enix's greatest masterpieces due to it not having "final fantasy" in the name.  when i started this game, i wasnt expecting a modern day japanese city setting, nor was i expecting for the main character, neku, to be dead when the story started.

I decided about a week ago to draw up some drafts of my own character in their art style...

Letter Design

the third and final art project from last semester (that im going to post at least) is a letter design. this one... was a bit messier...







































i honestly dont know where most of this came from, but it had a fairly good effect. i put a few spades, since thats my fav playing card suit. put a few things that look like guitars, and others that vaguely look like other stringed instruments.

i think i got a B on this one. i dont remember. took about a days work, so not exactly my best effort anyways.

Skulls background- chalk pastels

Another art assignment my teacher gave me.

the instructions were to cut out a design from card stock, and to use chalk pastels by scribbling on the pattern, placing the pattern on the paper, and to smear the chalk over the paper.

i decided on a skull, and went to work. took me two days of class to do (so about an hour if you add in the time i goofed off) and it was really simple to do, just very repetitive.

Sexy Vampire- construction paper cutout

my art teacher last semester gave us this assignment. she gave us assorted construction paper colors and told us to make a basic, simple pattern.. i went WAY beyond that.


One thing i love to do is watch flash video's by a person that calls himself "gosha dole"

the first video he did that i watched was called sexy vampire. it was more or less about a vampire who finds a girl he likes, and helps her escape the hunters that are chasing him down.

i layered several colors in the background to add a fogged effect, with a big white moon in the background.. several silver shapes with blue windows, and an explosion with blacked out windows behind it.

for the main eye catcher, i made gosha radio's "sexy vampire" outlining his black cape and his "ghost" arm (i believe thats what he called it.)




in the end, i got a 100% on the project and put it in a poster tube for storage.
